„Hi friends,
A note I’m very sad to be writing – we are cancelling our European and UK shows scheduled for February & March. All tickets will be refunded via the original point of purchase. I am so incredibly disappointed but given the ever-changing rules and regulations in the 11 countries we were scheduled to visit and our great desire to keep you, my band and crew safe we are unable to make the tour work at this time. After two years of being away from the road I have missed touring so much, and it breaks my heart to accept that it’s not time yet. So many of you have told me you’ve seen me twice, three or four times, sometimes even more – and I always feel so welcomed and at home no matter how far from home I am because of your beautiful faces singing along. I never take it for granted and I really hope that it won’t be long before things are more settled and we can sing together again. Sending you all so much love.

„Ich möchte ein richtig schönes Album über Mitgefühl machen.“ Mit diesen Worten wandte sich BASIA BULAT an ihren Produzenten Jim James. „ARE YOU IN LOVE?“, so der Titel des Werks, ist in einer Zeit des Todes und der Trauer, aber auch der Vergebung, Neuerfindung und Liebe entstanden.
Die Aufnahmen für „ARE YOU IN LOVE?“ begannen in den Hi-Dez Studios in Joshua Tree, aber das Album war noch nicht komplett, als BULAT nach Montreal zurückkehrte. Es dauerte weitere neun Monate, bis sie wieder zu ihrem Album zurückkehren konnte. Sie verliebte sich und verlor kurz darauf ihren Vater, so dass sie sich auf der Suche nach einem Sinn für das Schöne befand.
Der Titel YOUR GIRL ist bereits jetzt als kleiner Vorgeschmack erhältlich und das komplette Album ist am 27.03.2020 erschienen.
